Our Vision is for Coonamble High School to be a vibrant, inclusive and supportive community promoting the education and well-being of all students, staff and families.
The Coonamble High School Parents and Citizens Association is a group of parents, careers and interested community members who come together to support the Coonamble High School community. CHS P&C is a member of the Federation of Parents and Citizens Associations of NSW.

Aims
- To have a positive impact on the vision, policy and operation of the school.
- To build meaningful relationships between the staff and families of the school through social and formal interactions.
- To support the school with equipment and other resources.

P&C Activities
Canteen
- The P&C runs the school canteen along the mandated Healthy Schools Canteen guidelines
- Provide healthy, enjoyable meals to students and staff at a reasonable price
- Caters school events
- Profits from the canteen are used to finance P&C to provide equipment and resources for the school
- Offers an opportunity for community members to volunteer at the school
Fundraising
- The P&C raises funds to purchase equipment and resources and to reduce the cost to families of excursions
- Fundraising events have included Barefoot Bowls, various Raffles, the school musical canteen and Trivia Nights among others
Supporting School Management
- Coonamble HS is a Connected Communities school this strengthens the ability of the P&C to improve and support the school in ways that fit our unique community
- Representing families and the community as members of committees and groups involved in shaping the direction of the school
- Representing families and the community when selecting staff to become part of the CHS community.
Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month (during the school term) at 5:30pm in the CHS school library. New members are always welcome. All parents and carers are encouraged to use the opportunity the P&C offers to have a positive impact on the direction of the school and ensuring this direction reflects the needs to the students and Coonamble community.
